"Europe and we" Association would like to inform you that on 03.06.2013, in Burgas District Administration was held a press conference to present the results from the activities implemented in the Burgas District under project "Raising public awareness on solid waste management in the North-West of the Black Sea region - Less waste in the North West"funded by the EU through the Joint Operational Programme" Black Sea Basin 2007 - 2013. "

During the event, the achievements in the Burgas District in the implementation of the project were presented, the results of the competition for the most interesting idea for developing a "container" for the separate waste collection in living conditions were presented, prizes were given to the winners. The most interesting ideas in the competition were presented and the winners - students from Secondary School "Hristo Botev" town Aitos gave their own dance-music show.

On March 2013, 28th, in the convention hall of Falesti District Council building, the meeting of the implementation team of the project Cross-border Improvement of solid municipal waste management in Republic of Moldova, Romania and Ukraine (Joint Operational Programme Romania-Ukraine-Republic of Moldova 2007-2013) with the project-manager of Raising Public Awareness on Solid Municipal Waste Management in the North-West of the Black Sea Region (Joint Operational Programme "Black Sea" 2007-2013) was held. Both cross-border projects, aiming the efficient management of municipal solid waste, overlap Falesti district zone.

The purpose of the meeting was to establish new bilateral cooperation relations within the Falesti district boundaries in order to avoid duplication of activities and increase the profitability of their implementation.

On March 2013, 26th, REC Moldova has organized a training regarding the benefits of the separate collection of municipal solid waste and recycling for 25 representatives of local governments, NGOs, businesses, farmers of Nisporeni district. Participants in the seminar were informed about management of solid municipal waste and the benefits their implementation at the national and local levels.

The event is part of the project Raising Public Awareness on Solid Municipal Waste Management in the North-West of the Black Sea.
